The Language of Flowers Series [1]
This design series reimagines a book by the same name, given by a husband to his wife for their 50th wedding anniversary in 1913. The hand written and illustrated book is an alphabetized encyclopedia of both common and novel flowers listed with their victorian meaning. It begins with a short poem —
“There is a language, ‘little known’,
Lovers claim it as their own.
Its symbols smile upon the land,
Wrought by Nature’s wondrous hand:
And in their silent beauty speak.
Of life and joy, to those who seek
For Love Divine and sunny hours
In the language of the flowers.”
