An Illustrated Guide to Bobbed Wire:
Classic & Unusual Twists that Wrangled the West

These posters are a two color 11x17 risograph print collaboration between Little Miss Bummer Studio and Chaotic No Good! Printed beautifully by the wonderful Tiny Splendor.

While vintage shopping in the Western United States, it’s not uncommon to spot wooden panels featuring mounted sections of barbed wire. These plaques usually state things like “The Wire That Fenced the West” or “Antique ‘Bobbed’ Wire” in tall Western Block Serifs. Being curious about these panels, Maddie and I came to learn that a subculture of collectors exists, occupied with finding and labeling sections of barbed wire in various patterns and makings. Turns out there are a lot of different types of barbed wire! The “Illustrated Guide to Bobbed Wire” poster is a nod to these dusty and mostly forgotten documentations — with our own little twist!
